The women of the project “Until the Rain Comes”
A sensitive, open and visually impactful work of art about women's emotional well-being, their mental health and integration into society. The work conveys the painful lives of women, their stories, dreams and silent waiting - for a son, brother, husband, father, lover, life. Waiting for life to begin or daring to live here and now turns this story into a journey of real and authentic life. Waiting, but alive women. The story is revealed through strong female characters, their personal experiences and inner struggles. The performance as a form speaks about the role of women in society. Waiting in the performance is an allegory for the trauma of the family system, passed down from generation to generation and determining women's lives. Courage and awareness are needed to transcend stereotypes, breathe fresh air and turn burdens into wings.
